“He’s got the whole world in His Hands”

P.E.P ‘Prayer Evangelism Preparation’ “He’s got the whole world in His Hands”

Meditate: Isaiah 46:9-10 “declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things not yet done.” John 14:29 “I tell you before it come to pass, that when it does come to pass you might believe.” I want you to imagine that you are about to take a test. What emotions would you experience? The stress of taking tests isn’t in the knowledge that the test is coming, it’s in the not knowing what will be on the test, it’s not knowing if you have sufficient knowledge to pass the test. Thats understandable! Tests do not determine whether you pass or fail at the time of examination, they reveal what you have been doing in the time of examination. Now I want you to imagine that you know the person who wrote the test paper. Imagine that that same person is going to be the test invigilator. Finally, imagine that that same person is offering you extra tuition to go over what will be on the test, what you can expect when the test begins. What emotions do you experience now? Would you turn down the invitation? Would you refuse to know what was coming on the test? Would you stop other people sharing the test question and answers with those who were about to take the same test? Meditate: Luke 19:41-44 “…If you had known…” 2 Chronicles 36:15-16 - I wanted you to know Matthew 23:37 “…and ye would not.” Preparation is efficiency for the future. But what does that preparation look like? Meditate: 1 Peter 1:19 “…until the day dawn AND the day star arise in your hearts.” The Prophetic Word is like a light that illuminates dark places. It illuminated the “thoughts” and intents of Nebuchadnezzars heart - Daniel 2:30. It will, if allowed to, illuminate the dark places of our own hearts - Hebrews 4:12. It will also illuminate the dark part of time itself…the future. But if this is where we stop with the Prophetic Word, just gaining a head knowledge, then we have missed the point. The Day Star must also arise in our hearts. Christ is The Day Star, The Bright and Morning Star - Revelation 22:16. If we have a head knowledge but still have a bad attitude there is a disconnect! Note carefully the order of events in the text…illumination then transformation. And this process is not a one time thing, it is the process of a lifetime. The Prophetic Word shines a light on the hardness of the heart, it will also, if allowed, break up that ground ready for the reception of the The Seed. Once The Seed has been planted, given the right conditions, it must grow. The Seed has the life giving principles within itself: Meditate: John 1:1-4 - “In him was life…” John 14:6 “…I am THE life.” 1 John 1:1-2 “…the life was manifested and we have seen it. In the great closing work we shall meet with perplexities that we know not how to deal with, but let us not forget that the three great powers of heaven are working, that a divine hand is on the wheel, and that God will bring His purposes to pass.
