W.A.P - Watch and Pray - “Too late to evacuate!”

Read & Meditate: Ezra 1:3 - (Cyrus) 1st Call Ezra 6:8-12 (Darius) 2nd Call Ezra 7:11-26 (Artaxerxes) 3rd Call

The Jews had been given 3 messages to leave the the place of their captivity. God had moved upon the hearts of the statesmen to allow passage back to their own land and back to true worship. But the majority of the Jews decided to stay where they were. Maybe, they were busy getting integrated into the culture and society, maybe they had invested time and talents into the economy of Babylon and they wanted to reap dividends. For whatever reason, only 50,000 of them, a small remnant, made the journey to “come out of Babylon.” “But God ceased not to plead with those who voluntarily remained in the land of their exile, and through manifold agencies He made it possible for them also to return. The large number, however, of those who failed to respond to the decree of Cyrus, remained unimpressible to later influences; and even when Zechariah warned them to flee from Babylon without further delay, they did not heed the invitation.” PK 599.3 Meanwhile conditions in the Medo-Persian realm were rapidly changing. PK 600.1 The political landscape was changing rapidly in Babylon and *soon it would be impossible for them to make the necessary evacuation.* http://news.sky.com/story/australia-bushfires-tourists-ignoring-pleas-to-evacuate-hotspot-11897582 “About 30,000 holidaymakers were urged to evacuate East Gippsland a popular Australian tourist hotspot that is roughly half the size of Belgium and home to 45,000 people. But Mayor John White told ABC News that "a lot of holidaymakers" decided to ignore the warning and stay put, and there has been "no mass exodus" despite strongly worded pleas from officials. Several emergency warnings have since been issued for the area and the Princes Highway - the main, and busiest, road in and out of the area - has been closed. Those left are being warned to shelter in place and not attempt the 200-mile journey out because "they should not be on the roads" and risk getting trapped in the fires. Meditate and Pray: Revelation 14:6-12 Revelation 18:1-4 “The time is at hand when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man; but in them all, God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger.” PK 277.1 Meditate and Claim: Psalm 91 Maranatha! ———————————————— Book Ref: PK - Prophets and Kings
